MARBURGER MOSQUE HAND PAINTED FAIENCE TILE MIHRAB DESIGN
Marbug'da yer alan bir Arap camisi olan Marburger camii Mihrap tasarımda ekstra beyaz Sivek mermer ve el yapımı çini kanolar kullanılmıştır. Mihrap tasarımında modern ve özgün bir çalışma hedeflenmiştir. Çini kullanımının verecek olduğu klasik hissiyat sade kübik mukarnas, aydınlatmalar ve minimal ve modern söve tasarımıyla dengelenmek istenmiştir.
Extra white Sivek marble and handmade faience tile were used in the Mihrab of Marburger Mosque. A modern and unique work is aimed in the mihrab design. The classical feeling of using faience tiles was wanted to be balanced with simple cubic muqarnas, lighting and minimal and modern jamb design.
Mihrap tasarımında Kufi yazı tipi, lale ve karanfil motiflerine ağırlıklı olarak yer verilmiştir. Mihrabın ortasında bulunan laleyi andıran Kufi yazıda "Allah", üzerindeki mihrap üstü yazısında "Bismillahirrahmanirrahim", mihrap dış sövesi içine tasarlanan çini setinde ise Allah'ın 99 ismi Şerifinin Kufi yazılımı yer almaktadır. Caminin mevcut halısına uyumlu olması niyetiyle 3 katlı Selçuklu motif işlemeli bir avize tasarımı yapılmıştır. Mihrap 10 cm yükseltilmiş ve 10'luk Beyaz Sivek mermer Mercedes motifiyle çevrelenmiştir.
Kufic font, tulip and carnation motifs are heavily used in the mihrab design. The Kufic script resembling a tulip in the middle of the mihrab says "Allah" and the inscription above the mihrab says "Bismillahirrahmanirrahim". The faience tile set designed for the outer jamb of the mihrab contains the Kufic script of the 99 Names of Allah. A 3-layer chandelier with Seljuk motif embroidery was designed to be compatible with the existing carpet of the mosque. The mihrab is raised 10 cm and surrounded by a 10 cm White Sivek marble Mercedes motif.
Mihrap tasarımında dıştan 3. sırada bulunan çini setinde ters ve düz lale motiflerine yer verilmiştir. Koca Mimar Sinan'ın ustalık eserim diye bahsettiği Selimiye Camii'nde Allah'ın 99 ismini simgelemesi amacıyla yapacak olduğu 99 lale motifinden bir tanesinin eksik olduğu fark edilince 99. laleyi insanın acziyetini simgelemesi amacıyla şu sözlerle, ("Bu bizim kul olarak Allah katındaki acizliğimizi gösterir.") ters lale olarak resmedilmesini istemiştir. Marburger camii için tasarlanan bu mihrapta bu sözlerden ilham alınarak ters lale motifi kullanılmıştır.
In the mihrab design, reverse and straight tulip motifs are included in the tile set in the third row from the outside. In the Selimiye Mosque, which Mimar Sinan referred to as his masterwork, it was noticed that one of the 99 tulip motifs that he was going to make to symbolize the 99 names of Allah was missing, so he used the 99th tulip to symbolize the helplessness of man with the following words ("This shows our helplessness in the sight of God as servants".) wanted it to be depicted as an inverted tulip. Inspired by these words, the inverted tulip motif was used in this mihrab designed for the Marburger mosque.
